Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in New Baden, Illinois. Completed plans call for the construction of a 16,500-square-foot municipal facility.
ROJECT DESCRIPTION Work involves construction a new village hall, police department and emergency services building. The approximate size of the new structure is 16,500 square feet and includes an office for village staff, EMS quarters and offices, including an apparatus bay, and police facilities, including a sally port. Included with the space is an ICC 500 compliant storm shelter. Miscellaneous site improvements are included with the project. Should a bidder find discrepancies, ambiguities, and/or omissions from Documents, or be in doubt of their meaning, bidder shall at once, and in any event not later than Wednesday, February 26 at 5:00pm, notify the Owner by completing the Request for Clarification form who will include a written response to all bidders via addendum. Bid Package No. 31 - Earthwork/Storm Sewer/SWPPP 15. Bid Package No. 32 - Asphalt Paving CONTRACT TYPE Bids will be based on multiple bid packages. See specific scope of work for specification inclusion & responsibility. Generally, the work may be described as the packages listed above. Bids shall include prevailing hourly wage rate determined by the Illinois Department of Labor. CONTRACT DOCUMENTS Contract documents may be examined on or after Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at the following office and plan rooms: FGM Architects - 475 Regency Park, Suite 325, OFallon, IL 62269 Holland Construction Services - 4495 North Illinois Street, Swansea, IL 62226 S.I.B.A. - 1468 Green Mount Road, O'Fallon, IL 62269. Contract Documents may be obtained at Snow Printing Company, 6428 Old St. Louis Road, Belleville, Illinois, 62223, Phone: 618-233-0712, Fax: 618-257-3331 for cost. A set is made up of complete drawings and bound project manuals. BID STIPULATIONS A Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the Owner, in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid shall accompany the Bid as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the contract, will execute the contract and proceed with the work. Bidders are required to complete the bid form provided. Sealed bids must include a bid security and bid form. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality or to accept any bid which in the judgment of the Owner may be most advantageous to them. Bidders must be in compliance with the rules and regulations of the Fair Employment Practices Commission. No Bids may be withdrawn after the opening of bids, without the consent of the Owner, for a period of ninety (90) days thereafter. REQUESTS FOR CLARIFICATION Should a bidder find discrepancies, ambiguities, and/or omissions from Documents, or be in doubt of their meaning, bidder shall at once, and in any event not later than Wednesday, February 26 at 5:00pm, notify the Owner by completing the Request for Clarification form who will include a written response to all bidders via addendum.
