The City of Council Bluffs, Iowa (City), is requesting bids for the abatement of weeds and mowing from qualified and insured companies, herein called Bidder/Supplier/Contractor. All necessary personnel, supervision, materials and equipment to be provided by the Bidder and prices included in the bid should reflect the same. For the purpose of this bid, the following documents MUST be submitted: Bid Bond (if applicable) All pertinent information outlined in Ion Wave Current list of Bidder's equipment This is an all or nothing bid and will be awarded to one Bidder. The work under this bid will be administered and overseen by the Community Development Department. The price quote on the bid will become the price extended to the City of Council Bluffs for the contract period. CONTRACT TERM - The period of this Contract shall be from January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2026, and can be extended for additional one (1) year periods upon approval of both parties. After the initial year, any cost increase request must be accompanied by justification documentation from the Contractor of a price increase and is subject to approval or denial by the City. The price increase request must be submitted to the Community Development Department Director or their designee by October 1st of the current contract year if wanting to renew the contract for an additional year. Prices are to remain firm throughout each contract extension period. BID BOND - In accordance with City ordinance, each bid in excess of $40,000 must be accompanied by cashier's check or bid bond payable to the City of Council Bluffs, Iowa, for a sum not less than 5% of the total amount of the bid. Copies of bid bonds or cashier's checks are to be uploaded in the assigned requested attachments area. Cashier's check shall clearly state cashier's check on it. Letters of credit and company or personal checks are not acceptable substitutes for a bid bond and would be cause for rejection of bid. **Please double check your math to make sure your 5% bid bond amount is accurate.
