CIP 25-578 The scope of work to include the replacement of two (2) 6-48” dia. culvert crossings in the Hidden Springs subdivision in Brazos County, Texas. The project area will include the existing culvert crossings at Hidden Springs Way and Stony Brook. This scope of services also includes necessary roadway repairs at the culvert crossing locations. The project also includes the following: 1. Removal of existing culverts and mitered safety end treatments 2. Clearing and Grubbing of Right of Way and Easement Areas 3. Demolition of and haul off of existing chip seal pavement and existing base 4. Earthwork – Haul off 5. Cement stabilized sand backfill 6. HP Storm Culvert and safety end treatment installation with structural backfill 7. Grading of ditches and roadway 8. Installation of Type R Rock riprap, geotextile, and cement stabilized sand 9. Crushed limestone base and chip seal pavement installation 10. Traffic Control, Erosion Control, and SWPPP record keeping 11. Other subsidiary items Item #3 (installation of CIS base) must be complete at the respective location before transitioning to the other location. One of the roadways must remain open at all times for subdivision access purposes. Items 300 and 308 shall be utilized in the event that soft spots are identified below the existing culverts. With being a small quantity, would we be able to bid the 2-course chip seal as a 2 TY C- hot mix, An alternate for 2" Type C HMA.C will be added to the bid form as part of Addendum #1
