This project consists of investigating the condition of the skylights (Commercial 2 floor) at Portage I&II and the repair or replacement of the skylights. On-going roof leaks are occurring at the interior side of the building. Consultant shall investigate if repairs or refurbishment to the skylight can be done to extend the lifecycle or if a complete replacement of the skylights are required and provide a recommendation. The consultant shall review, but not limited to, the condition of the metal flashing, sealants, skylight window seals, proper counter slopes, roof membranes, etc. Thermography scans must be performed to review the extent of the leak and damage. In addition, the consultant shall review the extent of the damage at the interior side and provide recommendations for repairs. If a complete skylight replacement is recommended the consultant shall review the use of energy efficient skylights. Consultant to provide design drawings of the best agreed upon option. (a) Bids Submitted at $100,000 or Greater Shall Include the Following by the Closing Date and Time: A Bid Bond in a Commercially Reasonable Form or an Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit Issued by a Financial Institution Authorized to Conduct Business in Canada as a Schedule I or Schedule Ii Chartered Bank in the Amount of at Least 10% of the Bid Price and That Shall Be in Effect Until Forty-five (45) Calendar Days Following Closing Date. A Suretys Consent Indicating That, in Accordance With Section 5.18.1. Of This Itt, the Surety Company Will Furnish the Contract Security Which Shall Include a 50% Performance Bond and a 50% Labour and Materials Payment Bond of the Bid Price or a Consent From the Schedule I or Schedule Ii Chartered Bank That an Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit in the Amount of 50% of the Bid Price Will Be Furnished.
