Renovation of an educational facility in Columbus, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 16,000-square-foot educational facility.

Rothschild Middle School is situated next to Lonnie Jackson Elementary on a 32+/- acre property. The middle school is made up of (4) separate buildings connected with walkway canopies. The gym building was built in 1966 and is approximately 15,563 square feet. The proposed project will require the demolition of existing gymnasium in order to build a new gymnasium approximately 16,000 square feet. The new gymnasium will be located in order to facilitate the enclosing of the current covered courtyard and breezeways between buildings. In addition to building a new gymnasium, modifications will be made to the existing walkway canopies in order to accommodate the new gymnasium footprint. The new gymnasium will be sprinklered and will include a fire alarm system, burglar alarm, CCTV, intercom and any owner requested AV. Site work will include, but not be limited to, removing 5 parking spaces in order to create 12 new spaces, concrete sidewalks from parking lot to new gymnasium. New masonry walls will be built to enclose the open courtyards and secure the passage of students from building to building essentially connecting all four buildings.
