The City of Grandview Heights, Ohio will receive sealed bids for the materials and labor necessary for the construction of the 2025 Alley & Street Paving Project. After which, the results of the bid will be revealed through online. The City of Grandview Heights may choose to not award the bid-and bidders shall hold bids open-until sixty days after the bid opening. The work for which bids are invited consists of: The project consists of improvements to various alleys and streets in Grandview Heights including concrete alley replacement, planing and asphalt paving, storm sewer, sidewalk, curb and gutter, and curb ramps. The cost estimate for the Base Bid is $617,578.00. Alternate No. 1 Construction cost estimate is $126,078.00 (Alley 32C). Alternate No. 2 Construction cost estimate is $156,350.00 (Alley 36D). Alternate No. 3 Construction cost estimate is $60,000.00 (Misc. Pavement Repair). Alternate No. 4 Construction cost estimate is $0.00 (High Recycled Asphalt Pavement). Alternate No. 5 Construction cost estimate is $70,000.00 (Sidewalk Repair). Payment for these items will not be refunded. Each bidder is required to furnish with its bid a Bid Guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each bid must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the bid and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experience on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed by December 1, 2025. Payment of Prevailing Wages is required for this Project. The City of Grandview Heights reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding process and to enter into a contract with the bidder whom, in its opinion, offers the lowest and best bid.
