Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Hamilton, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
A brief summary of the Work involved in this Contract is for the road rehabilitation of various streets in the City of Hamilton and consists of approximately: - 21,150 square metres of road milling - 3,470 square metres of asphalt stripping - 3,825 tonnes of asphalt resurfacing - Approximately 3,500 square metres of concrete sidewalk repairs - Concrete, asphalt and paving stone driveway restoration NOTE: For this project, the Contractor will be required to sawcut the road and complete all concrete curb, sidewalk, combined walk and curb and concrete approach repairs prior to removing the asphalt from the road (mill or strip). For areas where the road is being milled and paved, the cost for saw-cutting the asphalt shall be included in the Repairs Adjacent to Curb Item. For areas where the asphalt is being stripped to granular base, a separate Item has been provided for Saw Cuts.
