The Worcester Housing Authority is soliciting bids for Asbestos Remediation Services. The Worcester Housing Authority (WHA) is soliciting bids for the removal of asbestos containing materials, including floor tiles, pipe insulation, and other applications at various WHA State and Federal residential units located throughout various locations in the city of Worcester on an as needed basis. Contractor Qualification DCAMM Certificate Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. 3. The term of this contract shall extend for one (1) year, from April 1, 2025 – March 31, 2026, with the option to extend, at the sole discretion of the WHA, for 2 additional one-year terms with no change to the terms and conditions and in accordance with the pricing of this IFB. The successful bidder must comply with minimum wage rates as determined by the Massachusetts Department of Labor Standards and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in accordance with attached Prevailing Wage Rate Schedules. Bids must be accompanied by a bid deposit in an amount that is not less than five percent (5%) of the value of the proposed contract total. Bid deposits, payable to the Worcester Housing Authority, shall be either in the form of a bid bond, or cash, or a certified check on, or a treasurer's or cashier's check issued by, a responsible bank or trust company The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond as well as a Labor and Materials Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract total for Year 1. On the anniversary date of the contract, the contractor will be responsible to provide WHA with a Bond Rider, Continuation Letter, or new bond. Question Deadline 02/26/2025 All questions or requests for clarification must be submitted in writing 7 days prior to opening by email to purchasing@worcesterha.org. The Worcester Housing Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in any or all bids, or to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, if it be in the WHA and public interest to do so.
