CR-280B Legislative Appropriation Utilities This project includes the installation of approximately 4461 feet of 12-inch and 6-inch PVC sewer force main, 5050 feet of 16-inch PVC watermain, 120 feet of HDPE directional bores, and associated valves, bends, hydrants, and appurtenances on CR-280B in Defuniak Springs, FL. The Project will be funded through Legislative Appropriations that have been approved. The City of Defuniak Springs encourages women owned and minority owned businesses to submit bids on the project. The City of Defuniak Springs (City) reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The City also reserves the right to reject contractors who in the City's opinion are not qualified to perform the work based on the prequalification package. All Bids shall be firm for a period of 90 days after opening. This includes material prices. The bid must conform to Section 287.133(3) Florida Statutes, on public entity crimes. All bidders shall comply with all applicable state, federal, and local laws concerning licensing, registration, and regulations of contractors doing business in Florida. The City shall award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder; provided however, the City reserves the right to award the contract to a bidder who is not the lowest responsive and responsible bidder if the City determines in its reasonable discretion that another bid offers the City a better value based upon the reliability, quality of service, or product of such other bidder.
