Water Distribution System Replacements and Improvements The Work consists of furnishing crew or crews, labor, equipment, and materials (as required) to replace and make improvements to water service lines, distribution mains, and to provide associated restoration. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. The Erie County Water Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to accept any bid deemed to be for the best interest of the Water Authority even though the proposal chosen may result in the award of the contract to a bidder whose bid is not mathematically lowest. The final contract will be executed in the format set forth in the proposed Contract Documents located in this Project Manual. The Contract will be for a two-year term, with the potential for two additional one-year extensions. It is anticipated that the term of the original contract will be from May 1, 2025 through April 30, 2027, subject to the approval of Authority's Board of Commissioners.
