The Town of Morrisville, NC (hereinafter referred to as the "Town") is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors for the purpose as described below: This project is about the removal and replacement of the existing roof materials on a flat roof and shingled roof on the Morrisville Connector Building located at 240 Town Hall Drive, Morrisville, NC 27560. The Town reserves the right to award contract(s) to one or more vendors, as determined to be in the best interest of the Town. The Town of Morrisville is in Wake County, equal distance from Raleigh and Durham. The Town has an estimated population of just over 30,000 and growing. Development in the Town consists of a variety of residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use developments. With a population of just 1,022 in 1990, much of Morrisville's development has occurred in the last 25 years. The Morrisville Connector Building has two roof types: a flat EPDM roof approximately 1,194 sq. ft. which is surrounded by a shingled roof approximately 5,021 sq. ft. Both roofs are approximately 25 years old. This project will replace both these roofs. The following picture illustrates the location of the Morrisville Connector Building. The flat roof on the Connector Building is a single ply EPDM system that is approximately 25 years old and is 1,194 sq. ft. in area. This part of the project requires: _ Tearing off existing membrane and disposing of properly. _ Removing and replacing damaged /wet insulation with same, up to 200 SF. (If the damaged insulation exceeds 200 SF, a change order will be issued.) _ Installing cover board - glass-mat-faced gypsum panel, primed, ASTM C1177/C1177M, with a thickness of 1/2 inch (12 mm.). _ Mechanically attach a .36 mil Fibertite system. _ Upon Completion, provide at least a 20-year manufactures warranty and a 5-year workmanship warranty. _ Provide a 6-month, 1-year and 5-year inspection of the roo Question Deadline 02/26/2025 at 5:00 PM ET Questions related to this RFP should be sent to Bids@morrisvillenc.gov
