SDIRC 05-01-2025DE Sealed bids are being accepted for the exterior painting of buildings located at Dodgertown Elementary School. The awarded Bidder will be responsible for all materials, equipment and labor required to complete the scope of work in accordance with the specifications. The Scope of Work includes exterior repaint of Dodgertown Elementary School to include Buildings 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 17, PE Storage, pavilion benches, pavilion columns and bench area between buildings 2 & 3 in accordance with the specifications, terms and conditions of this invitation to bid any associated addenda. Attached you will find DES's Painting Specifications, approved color scheme brochure and a site plan which identifies the location of these buildings. Existing floor plans and elevations can be provided after the mandatory pre-bid meeting. Bid Security Bond - Bid bond in the amount not less than 5% of the gross bid shall accompany each bid, with the understanding that bids may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid date. Bid security shall be made payable to the School District of Indian River County, and may be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and a surety company accepted to the owner. Bid bonds will be returned to unsuccessful bidders. Performance and Payment Bond - Performance and Payment Bond equal to 100% of the contract price will be required of the successful bidder. Both bid and performance/payment bonds must be written through a reputable and responsible surety bonding agency, licensed to do business in the State of Florida and shall be issued in accordance with Ch. 624 F.S. Upon receipt of the performance/payment bond, the bid bond will be returned to the successful bidder.
