Work performed by the Contractor shall include but not be limited to the following: coordination with the Owner for the design and construction of an approximate 6,720 square-foot open-air shelter structure at the Dickson County Farmers Market. These Project Documents represent the design intent only and are not construction documents. These Documents serve only as Bid Documents for the Project that consists of the design and construction of the shelter structure as represented conceptually in the Drawings and Specifications, and in compliance with the requirements of Dickson County, and the City of Dickson. The work covered by these contract documents shall include but not be limited to the following: structural design and construction of foundations, cypress columns, shelter structure with a metal roof system, labor, materials, equipment, overhead, profit, permits, fees, testing, utility location verification, foundation excavation, backfill, and compaction, construction layout, erosion control, traffic control, construction work zone safety, site cleanup, and the proper offsite disposal of all surplus materials and debris. The project shall be compliant with design plans and other project documents and complete in every detail and ready to be turned over to the Owner for beneficial use. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Each bidder must deposit with their bid, security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders and other bidding documents. Any bid received after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids will be returned to the bidder unopened. Bids will be required to remain open for acceptance or rejection for sixty (60) calendar days after the date of opening bids.
