The City of Muskegon Department of Public Works is soliciting bids for highway maintenance materials, aggregates, and ready-mix concrete The City of Muskegon Department of Public Works is issuing an invitation to bid on highway maintenance materials, aggregates, and ready-mix concrete. Highway maintenance materials include: calcium chloride 38% stored (road brine), calcium chloride 32% stored (winter salting), hot mix asphalt 3C base, hot mix asphalt 4C top, Sylvax patching materials, AE90 asphalt emulsion, crack sealant (block form), and mastic (material & equipment). Aggregates include: 32FA/H1 (coarse stone-sand), road slag 22A, natural road gravel 22A 23A, 2NS sand/torpedo sand, screened top soil, and fill sand (Class II or IIIA, not beach sand). Concrete bids are to provide the Department of Public Works with on-site delivery of concrete in the Muskegon area. The City of Muskegon reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to accept the bid it feels is in the best interest of the City.
