The Board of County Commissioners of Coffey County, Kansas, will accept sealed bids for the replacement of the roof located at 405/407 Neosho Street, Burlington, KS (previously known as the Marie Belle's). The project consists of the removal and replacement of the existing roof by a commercially li-censed contractor authorized and approved to do business within the State of Kansas. Bidders are required to complete a site visit to obtain accurate measurements and specifications needed prior to bidding. Project location will include a scope of work to include but not be limited to the following: removal of existing roof materials to the decking; hauling and disposal of all removed roof materials, trash, and project debris; evaluation and replacement of compromised (rotten) existing decking with new decking up to a bidder limit with listed cost per sheet over limit ; mechanical attachment of cover board over base layer of decking; installation of mechanically fastened 060 mill TPo roofing system per manufacturer specifications for entire roofing area; TPO materials adhered to wall sections as needed; TPO material wrapped exhaust hood curbs; TPO coated edge metal on north and south sides of roof; installation of new termination bar(s) with counter flashing on wall sections, new pipe boots, pitch pans, and AC unit curb termination. bar, all as needed; Roof installation of new 24 gage prefinished steel seamless gutter and downspouts; minimum 10 year transferable manufacturer warranty with no dollar limit and labor warranty. Each bidder is required to include with their proposal a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the bid, as Bid Security. The Bid Security will be forfeited if the successful bidder fails to execute and deliver the agreement, payment and performance bonds with-in ten (10) days of Notice of Award. Performance and Maintenance Bonds will be required for 100% of project cost if bidder is awarded project. All proposals will be property of Coffey County, Kansas. The Board of County Commissioners of Coffey County, Kansas reserves the right to waive any or all informalities or ir-regularities therein. The lowest proposal will not necessarily be accepted. The County reserves the right to reject all bids, award the agreement, interview contractors, negotiate specific terms of the agreement, and make other adjustments as required in consultation with the successful Bid-der.
