The Work shall consist of, but not limited to mobilization, furnishing and installation of replacement vertical turbine well pump, reuse of salvaged electric motor, construction of discharge pipe modifications, construction of pre-lubrication assembly, pump testing and disinfection, cleanup and demobilization. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, or bidder's bond, made payable to the City of Fullerton, for an amount equal to at least 10% of the amount bid, such guarantee to be forfeited should the bidder to whom the contract is awarded fail to enter into the contract. In addition, a Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the bid, and a Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of 100% of the bid shall be required of the successful bidder prior to entering into a contract. The City will permit substitution of approved securities for monies retained on this project in accordance with Section 7-3.2 of the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction ("Greenbook"), 2024. The time of completion of contract shall be thirty (30) working days.
