2024 Roadway Improvement Program Work shall consist of the following approximate quantities: 7,100 linear feet concrete curb, 17,000 square yards of pavement milling, 1,900 tons of hot mix asphalt, 225 linear feet of drainage pipe, 2 drainage structures, traffic striping, topsoil, seed, together with miscellaneous other related work items. Bids must be accompanied by a certificate from a surety company stating that it will provide the specified performance and maintenance bonds in the event that the contract is awarded to the bidder. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond for ten percent of the amount of the bid, not to exceed $20,000, drawn upon an incorporated bank or trust company, payable to the Borough of Little Silver, as guarantee that in case the contract is awarded the bidder, he will, within ten days thereafter execute such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond. Upon failure to do so, he shall forfeit the deposit as a partial satisfaction of liquidated damages and the acceptance of the bid will be contingent upon fulfillment of this re!quirement by the bidder. The checks of all bidders will be returned according to law. No interest shall be allowed upon any such check. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c,127., N.J.A.C. 17:27. (Affirmative Action) & P.L. 1977, C.33 (Ownership Disclosure). The Contract shall be awarded, or all bids rejected, within sixty days from the receipt of bids or within such extensions of time as per!mitted by law. The Mayor and Council reserve the right to reject any and all bids, or to waive any informality of any bid.
