Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Trenton, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT Roofing replacement and parapet wall and cornice restoration and repairs AT The Carver Youth and Family Center, 10 Fowler Street, Trenton, NJ, 08618. Contractors must be qualified in historic preservation, Cold Fluid Applied Membrane Roofing and Masonry Restoration. CDBG PROJECT This project is being paid for, in part, with CDBG funds from the US. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development. Prevailing wages established under the Davis-Bacon Act will apply to this contract. The contract documents contain requirements addressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standards, nondiscrimination in hiring practices, goals for minority and female participation, MBE and WBE participation, participation by Section 3 residents and businesses, and related matters. The benchmarks to be met are Section 3 Workers: 25 percent or more of the total number of labor hours worked by all workers on a Section 3 Project. Targeted Section 3 Workers (persons residing in subsidized housing): 5 percent or more of the total number of labor hours worked by all workers on a Section 3 project. All bidders must submit documentary evident that outreach was made to Section 3, Minority and Women Business Enterprises (MBE/WBE) to perform as subcontractors on the job. Any questions concerning this solicitation must be submitted in writing on or before the question-and-answer period, as outlined in the bid documents. Failure to do so shall result in the rejection of your submission.
