The project is to replace the existing 600VAC / 2500AMP bus duct that transmits power from a transformer located outdoors behind the Board Room to the switch gear in the basement. The switch gear then provides power to various MCCs which provides power to the Administration Building and also the Incinerator Equipment at the WWTP in Hanover Township, PA. All work is to be performed in accordance with WVSA Project Specifications, Scope Of Work and Project Drawings. The project will include but not be limited to medium voltage power isolation, lock-out/tag-out, selective demolition, determination/termination of bus duct, installation of temporary service feeds from a portable generator to the switch gear, installation of new bus duct and hangers, etc. The bus duct will essentially be replaced in kind with new. The exterior bus duct is approx. 90 LF and is Base Scope. An Alternate Scope to replace the interior bus duct, which is approx. 50 LF, will be requested as well. All labor, tools, equipment and materials for the project shall be provided by the contractor. This project is subject to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Steel Products Procurement Act. Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, made payable to Wyoming Valley Sanitary Authority. At the option of the Bidder, the Bid Bond may be a certified check, bank draft, U.S. Government Bond (at par value) or a Bid Bond on the form provided in the contract documents. Wyoming Valley Sanitary Authority reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids, and to waive any informalities, defects or irregularities, or any part or parts thereof. The successful contractor will have FIVE (5) days to complete the entire project after receipt of the Notice to Proceed from WVSA.
