Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and road / highway.

The bids are for a single Prime Contract for construction of 1,200 LF of roadway widening to three 12' lanes on Cedar View Parkway SW to improve traffic flow. Improved ADA detectable warnings at intersections, new ADA parking spots in the East Cedar Parking Lot, and updated pavement markings as required. The project includes pavement removal, new 9" PCC pavement with a 6" curb and gutter section. Mobilization may commence upon award of contract. Work may not begin until May 13, 2025, after the spring semester has concluded and is scheduled to be Final Complete August 1, 2025, in one phase as shown on the Contract Documents. The project will be broken up into two stages, as shown on the Contract Documents so that traffic may continue to flow through this intersection during construction. Bidders will be required to provide Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond of a sum no less than 5 percent of the Bid Amount. The successful bidder will be required to provide surety Performance and Payment Bonds in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum. The right is reserved to reject any and all bids, or any park thereof, and to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract or contracts as shall be deemed in the best interest of the Owner.
