This RFP features three separate mural projects. Applicants may apply for any single mural location, any combination of mural locations or all mural locations with this one application. Please see individual project descriptions for themes, total square footage, and individual budgets for each site. The budgets for these projects vary from approximately $10,000- $225,000, including but not limited to taxes, supplies, scaffolding, artwork, permits and any other requirements of the project. Pierce County (hereafter known as 'the County') invites portfolio submissions to be considered for the creation of murals throughout the County. The murals will serve as neighborhood landmarks, places of community pride and graffiti deterrents. Murals are to be located on unincorporated Pierce County-owned property in areas incurring blight, vandalism, and graffiti. The purpose of this RFP is to solicit qualified artists or teams of artists to submit a portfolio for consideration. Murals are to be located on County-owned property or facilities in unincorporated areas. Mural projects vary in square footage from approximately 785 sq. feet to 13,110.
