Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Sugar City, Idaho. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The project consists of constructing approximately 1,830 square yards of 4" concrete sidewalk in various locations in the City including excavation and gravel preparation work, sidewalk and ADA access construction, RRFB base construction, utility cover adjustments, and other related work. Bids will be received for a single contract on a unit price basis. A pre-bid conference will not be held. Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond payable to City of Sugar City in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful Bidder shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful Bidder as evidenced by a certificate of insurance. This project is funded in part by federal funds distributed through the Idaho Local Highway Technical Assistance Council (LHTAC), who is not a party to this Invitation to Bid or any resulting contract. Idaho requirements for public works contracting will apply. Federal requirements for project documentation, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Davis-Bacon Act including payment of prevailing Davis-Bacon wage rates, are required on this project as described in the Contract Documents. Award of the contract will be contingent upon compliance with Idaho public works contracting requirements, bid requirements, and available project funding. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the public opening of bids as set forth above The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period not to exceed forty-five (45) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interest of the Owner. Bidder is responsible to examine the Bidding Documents, visit the site and conduct examinations to become aware of the general nature of the work and existing conditions, notify the Engineer of conflicts or discrepancies discovered prior to the bid, and submit questions or requests for "or equal" items to the Engineer no later than five days prior to the bid opening date.
