The Services Covered by this Contract include the Collection, Transportation, and Disposal of Solid Waste Material from Approximately 25,835 Residential and Commercial Units Located in the Parish of Vermilion, Louisiana. 1. BID BOND: A ''Bid Guarantee'' equivalent to 5% of the total Proposal (for 1 year of service), consisting of a firm commitment, such as a bid bond, certified check, or other negotiable instrument, shall accompany each Proposal as assurance that the Proposer will, upon acceptance of his proposal, execute such contractual documents as may be required and within the time specified. 2. PERFORMANCE BOND: A performance bond of not less than 100% of the service contract price for a period of 1-year (Item 1 in the proposal form) shall be executed to assure the Vendor's faithful performance of the contract for the length of the contract. No proposer may withdraw his proposal for at least 45-days after the time scheduled for the opening of Proposals. Each proposal shall be submitted only on the Proposal Form provided and shall follow instructions listed in the Notice to Proposers regarding submittal of their proposal. The Parish reserves the right to reject any and all proposals if it is determined by the Vermilion Parish Police Jury it is not feasible for them to accept the proposals.
