Renovation of a municipal facility in East Fayetteville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Provide labor, equipment, and material to demo & replace three 5-ton Liebert split units in the Public Health building server room. The scope of the work includes demo of old split units from server room and roof, demo of old line sets from server room and roof, demo of old control panel, the install of three new 5-ton split crac units, install of new line sets, and the install of compatible control panel. Instructions: Vendors invited to submit bids are urged to have a representative present at the site visit and appraise themselves of the conditions and requirements which will affect the performance of the work called for by this invitation for bid. Vendor is cautioned that any information released to attendees during the site visit, other than that involving the physical aspects of the facility referenced above, and which conflicts with, supersedes, or adds to requirements in this invitation for bid, must be confirmed by written addendum before it can be considered to be a part of this bid. A bid bond is not required for this project: Performance and Payment Bonds are not required for this project. All Contractors are notified that North Carolina Statutory provisions as to licensing for Contractors will be observed in receiving, reading, and awarding of contracts. The County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. The bidder to whom the contract may be awarded must comply with the requirements of G.S. Section 143-131, as amended. No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of proposals for a period of sixty (60) days. CONTRACTORS INSURANCE: Providing and maintaining adequate insurance coverage is a material obligation of the CONTRACTOR and is of the essence of this contract. All such insurance shall meet all laws of the County of Cumberland, North Carolina. Such insurance coverage shall be obtained from companies that are authorized to provide such coverage and that are authorized by the Commissioner of Insurance to do business in North Carolina. The CONTRACTOR shall at all times comply with the terms of such insurance policies, and all requirements of the insurer under any such insurance policies, except as they may conflict with existing North Carolina laws or this contract. The limits of coverage under each insurance policy maintained by the CONTRACTOR shall not be interpreted as limiting the CONTRACTOR'S liability and obligations under the contract. During the term of the contract, the CONTRACTOR at its sole cost and expense shall provide commercial insurance of such type and with such terms and limits as may be reasonable associated with the contract. PERMITS AND LICENSES: The Contractor shall procure and pay all charges and fees for all permits and licenses incidental to the due and lawful prosecution of the work. CONSTRUCTION TRASH & DEBRIS REMOVAL: During construction of the Project, the Contractor shall be responsible for the removal of any trash or debris created by his work to an approved disposal site. Work shall be completed to OSHA standards to obey safety guidelines. The site will be maintained in a clean condition at all times. Trash and debris from daily operations are to be stored in appropriate storage containers or trucks until removal to the disposal facility. WARRANTY The CONTRACTOR shall provide a minimum of a 12 month labor and parts warranty on all materials and workmanship beginning on the date of project completion. SUMMARY OF WORK The work to be performed under this project consists of providing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for the replacement of the Crac units for Public Health. Scope of work includes: o Contractor shall Demo 3 split Crac units from server room and roof. o Contractor shall Demo 3 line sets up to 150 ft. o Contractor shall dispose of demoed equipment/material. o Contractor shall install 3 new split 5-ton Challenger Liebert Crac units with Advanced microprocessor, with electric heat, and infrared humidifier o Contractor shall run new line sets up to 150 ft to accommodate new refrigerant. o Contractor shall install new control Panel designated for the new Crac units. o Contractor shall be liable for any damage caused during Demo and install. o Contractor shall verify all work during pre-bid to ensure no change orders arise. o Contractor shall cleanup work area, workspaces shall be covered up during demo & installation and work areas shall be free of any debris during & after construction. o Contractor shall coordinate schedule with Owners (Cumberland County). o Contractor shall communicate with owners on schedule, timelines, and provide oversite over project. o Contractor shall schedule start up with owners on each unit. o Anything that will affect and/or modify controls will need to go through JCI Stanley Thibodeaux 910-303-4936. Additional clarifications o All work to completed in such manner that there is no interruption to the operation of the facility. One unit shall be taken down at a time to have continued cooling to server room. o All work must be completed within 60 days of NTP. Owner (Cumberland County) has right to issue NTP based off lead times on material. o All and any equipment must be submitted for approval to Cumberland County prior to purchase.
