Buyer Contact: Stephanie Brice stephanie.brice@cobbcounty.org 770-528-8400 The function of the Cobb TMC is to monitor traffic using more than 300 closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras and 586 traffic signals via 250 miles of fiber optic cable, utilizing a video screen wall with information collected through Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) software. TMC operators manage daily traffic, as well as planned special events and unplanned events. The TMC provides communications for the traveling public via 18 dynamic message signs and 11 overhead lane control (OLC) signs, the Cobb Commute application, and social media notification for traffic incidents and travel hazards.
