The Division of Facilities Management (DFM) of the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) is selecting an abatement team for hazardous materials (Asbestos Containing Materials, OSHA regulated plaster and lead based paint) removal in support of an existing HVAC systems replacement project at Colorado Mental Health Hospital in Pueblo (CMHHIP). This project is the first phase for Building 115 with a potential second and third phase. Future phases involve replacement of HVAC Systems in Buildings 116, 121 and 125 and may be awarded to the successful abatement team if work on this phase is satisfactory. A variety of hazardous materials have been confirmed on site that will need to be removed as part of the HVAC improvement project, including, but not limited to the following: asbestos containing pipe wrap, foil wrap and hard pack fittings, asbestos containing "air cell" pipe insulation, asbestos containing acoustic ceiling tiles, asbestos containing floor tiles and mastic, asbestos containing window glazing, OSHA regulated plaster (less than 1% asbestos), asbestos spray on fire proofing on structural members, and lead based paint on exterior HVAC louvers.
