Buyer Name Laura Nestle Buyer Email nestlel@chebschools.com Buyer Phone 231-627-4436 Notice is hereby given that the Cheboygan Area Schools will receive sealed bids for the: CHEBOYGAN AREA SCHOOLS FILTERED WATER EQUIPMENT The Board of Education of the Cheboygan Area Schools is accepting firm, sealed bids for filtered water equipment at the Cheboygan Area High School (801 West Lincoln Avenue); Cheboygan Intermediate School (905 West Lincoln Avenue); East Elementary School (440 Garfield Avenue); and Cheboygan Area Schools Board of Education Office/Inverness Academy (7461 North Straits Highway). No bids may be withdrawn for at least 60 days after the bids are opened. Per MCL 380.1267, all bids must be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the owner or any employee of the bidder and any member of the Cheboygan Area Schools Board of Education or the Superintendent of Cheboygan Area Schools. No bid shall be accepted that does not include this sworn and notarized disclosure statement. In compliance with the Iran Economic Sanctions Act, MCL 129.311, et seq., all bids must be accompanied by a sworn and notarized Affidavit of Compliance. No bid shall be accepted that does not include this sworn and notarized statement. All bids must include a Bid Security for 5% of the bid amount payable to Cheboygan Area Schools, in either the form of a certified bank check or bid bond. This project is being financed by the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy's (EGLE) Filter First-Healthy Hydration program. The program is a 100% federal grant and specifically clarifies that the project must comply with all federal provisions which are contained within the RFP. This includes but is not limited to the Davis-Bacon Act, 40 USC 276a, et seq, which requires that prevailing wages and fringe benefits be paid to contractors and subcontractors performing on federally funded projects over $2,000 for the construction, alteration, repair (including painting and decorating) of public buildings or works. Cheboygan Area Schools reserves the right to reject any and all bids, either in whole or in part; is not obligated to accept the lowest or any other bid; may waive any informality, irregularity, and/or errors in bids; and in general, to make awards in any manner deemed to be in the best interests of the owner.
