Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Palatine, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Project DPW-2416 for which proposals are being sought includes providing all materials, labor, tools, equipment and construction methods for the installation of new sidewalk and curb/PCC shoulders along with HMA pavement milling and full roadway reconstruction/HMA pavement replacement, drainage improvements, and restoration work at various locations within the Village. Additionally, removal and replacement of sidewalk and curbs, HMA pavement milling and resurfacing activities will be constructed along Cornell Avenue. Quantities include, but are not limited to, approximately 4,350 tons of HMA Surface and Binder courses, 8,225 square feet of sidewalk, 1,890 feet of concrete curb and gutter, pavement marking, restoration and other associated work. Installation of new sidewalk and curb/PCC shoulders along with HMA pavement milling & full roadway reconstruction/HMA pavement replacement, drainage improvements, and restoration work at locations along W Michigan Ave, Brockway St, Gilbert Road, W Cornell Avenue and Louise Lane. Additionally, removal and replacement of sidewalk and curbs, HMA pavement milling and resurfacing activities will be constructed along W Cornell Ave A current IDOT Certificate of Eligibility must be received before 12:00 p.m., Monday, March 3, 2025 at bidinfo@palatine.il.us for Bid to be considered. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, cashier check, or bank draft in an amount equal to five percent of the bid, payable to the Village of Palatine, as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute a contract and furnish a contract bond as set forth in the Project Documents. In case the bidder fails to file such contract and bond, the amount of the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Village of Palatine as liquidated damages. Sealed bids will be opened and publicly read aloud, in Community Room A of the Village Hall, 200 E. Wood Street, Palatine, Illinois 60067. Award of Contract DPW-2416, if one is to be made, is tentatively scheduled by the Village Council at their regular meeting to be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 17, 2025. This work is funded with a Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity grant. Bids must be in compliance with the overall Business Enterprise Program (BEP) utilization goal described in the bid documents. The letting of this contract is subject to Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). The Village of Palatine reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in bidding, and to accept any proposal which the Village Council deems most favorable to the interests of the Village.
