The scope of the work shall consist of ramp pavement and shoulder replacement; removal of the existing toll plaza median islands, equipment, and canopies; structure demolition; barrier wall construction; installation of toll plaza monotubes, lighting, pavement marking and signing; toll plaza electrical work; landscaping, erosion control, and maintenance of traffic. The work to be done under this contract shall be started on or about June 16, 2025. All work under this contract shall be completed by December 1, 2026. Bidders may be required to be pre-qualified by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT). IDOT Prequalification required: YES A completed Questionnaire and a statement of current contractual obligations on forms supplied by the Illinois Tollway will be required from the apparent low bidder once the apparent low bidder is determined. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the amount of five (5%) percent of the total amount shown in the bid for the contract. The Bid Guaranty shall be in the form of an acceptable bid bond or a bank draft, certified check or cashier's check drawn on a solvent bank made payable to the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority. Award of the above contract, if any award be made, will be to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder or bidders. The Tollway reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive technicalities, or cancel the solicitation.
