The City of Newport Beach is requesting proposals for preliminary architectural concepts, planning, permitting, public outreach, and final architectural and engineering design services for an aquatics center located on the property known as Lower Castaways Park. The project scope of work includes conceptualizing and designing a 25 yard by 50 meter pool; a therapy pool; a splash pad; assessing related site work and parking impacts; addressing the required permits for construction (Building, Planning (Minor Use Permit, Costal Development Permit at Zoning Administrator, possible Site Development Review), and WQMP); designing site landscaping; designing traffic related off-site improvements; designing a two-story accessory building that includes a locker room, pump room, and upstairs community room; and associated appurtenances and other necessary infrastructure per the attached concept exhibits.
