**As of March 14,2025, project was awarded to Knife River Construction, awarded amount is $5,333,033.80. The 2025 Road Rehabilitation - N. Bruce Road Project includes full depth reclamation of Bruce Road from Hwy 32 to E. 8th Street as well as grind and overlay on Chico Canyon Road from Bruce Road to Manzanita Avenue, California Park Drive from Bruce Road to Yosemite Drive, Alameda Park Circle, Tilden Lane, Donner Lane, and Trinity Lane. The project will also construct a multi-use path on the westside of Bruce Road/Chico Canyon Road from Hwy 32 to Manzanita Avenue and will include ADA improvements as well as bike lane improvements. The Project has 75 Working Days. This project requires the payment of prevailing wage rates to be paid to members of each craft or classification performing work on this project. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, cashiers check, certified check, or a bidders bond executed by an admitted surety insurer made payable to the City of Chico for an amount equal to at least 10% of the total bid amount, such guaranty to be forfeited should the bidder to whom the contract is awarded fail to enter into the contract. Responses to questions will be distributed to plan holders via Public Purchase. Questions and Requests for Information must be submitted five (5) business days prior to bid opening. LICENSING REQUIREMENTS At the time the City awards the contract for this project, the Contractor shall possess either a Class A Contractor License or a combination of classes required by the categories and types of work included in this contract. This contract is subject to state contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code, Section 12990.
