Renovation of an educational facility in Cincinnati, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 2,200-square-foot educational facility.
A general description of project tasks includes: 1. Replacement of two existing Computer Room A/C units with two new units of an equivalent tonnage. Most work will take place in an existing IDS Room (319) that has server equipment that needs to stay operational and conditioned during the course of the project. One existing unit to be replaced is in an adjacent IDS Storage Room (317). 2 units are necessary to remain operational to condition the space during construction. 2. 1800 sf of ceiling and lighting replacement in (317) and (319) with new ceiling tiles, new LED lights and new grid. 3. Minor metal framing and drywall work for refrigeration line-sets. 4. Providing new roof curb for new ACU Condensing Unit. 5. Provide new openings in existing walls for new piping. Reuse existing roof penetration for new refrigeration linesets. 6. Removal of Existing Refrigeration Line-sets. 7. Select patching and replacement of floor tiles as required for ACU replacement and proper unit operation. 8. Integration of new ACUs into Campus BAS. 9. Selective removal and replacement of existing ceiling tiles to facilitate the replacement of the refrigeration line-sets in the hallway outside 319 & 317 and the adjacent classroom (318). 10. New Lighting Controls for new Lighting in 319 and 317. 11. Tie in new ACU units to existing piping for humidification. 12. Existing Server racks need to be protected from dust and debris during construction. 13. Existing server Racks need to be protected during construction from accidental damage. Work shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by SMP Design, which are available in electronic format through the Cincinnati State Purchasing Department The EDGE Participation Goal for the Project is 5.0 percent.
