Site work and new construction of a multi-residential development in Nanaimo, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the construction of a four-story above grade, 60-unit multi-residential development; and for site work for a multi-residential development.
The purpose of this NRFP is to invite Pre-qualified Proponents from RFPQ 1070-2425-178A Construction Management Services for Various Housing Projects and have received formal notification of their qualification to prepare and submit competitive Proposals to provide BC Housing with the Deliverables. Through this NRFP process, BC Housing is seeking to enter a contract (the “Contract”) with an experienced, qualified supplier (the “Supplier”) to provide the Construction Management Services for construction of a Supportive Housing building to be located in Vancouver Island, as further described in Tender Documents. The purpose of this NRFP is to select a Construction Management (CM) company for the construction of a new Supportive Housing building to be in McKenzie Ave, Nanaimo, BC. This project aims to address the housing needs of individuals and families who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness. The scope of work consists of construction of a proposed 4 storey wood-frame supportive housing building with approximately 60 units, designed to provide safe, functional, and supportive living spaces for the target population. The work will encompass all aspects of construction, including but not limited to: Site Preparation and Civil Works: Site grading, utility connections, and landscaping. Building Construction: Wood-frame superstructure, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems installation, Interior fit-out, including common spaces and tenant units. Building Features: Sustainable design elements, including energy-efficient systems aligned with BC Housing's Design & Construction Standards, Accessibility features to accommodate diverse needs, including individuals with disabilities. Proponents must submit a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to obtain information about site location. No submission will be accepted from Proponents who did not submit the signed NDA.
