This Request for Proposals (the "RFP") is an invitation by the City of Kingston (the "City") to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Sidewalk Inspection Services, as further described in Part 2 of the RFP Particulars (the "Deliverables"). The City is seeking a vendor for Sidewalk Inspection Services as the City's transportation network includes nearly 530 kilometers (km) of Municipally owned walkway / sidewalk, and 15 km of Federally owned sidewalk which is managed by the Public Works and Solid Waste Services department within the City. The purpose of inspecting the entire City's sidewalk network is to report on general conditions and surface discontinuities to minimize the possibility of injury to pedestrians and specifically to identify sidewalk deficiencies per Ontario Minimum Maintenance Standards (MMS) Reg. 239.
