Lenox Road Garden Plots The Work generally includes (but is not limited to): Installation of (2) picnic shelters purchased by owner, concrete sidewalks, asphalt pathways, small asphalt parking lot, landscaping, earthwork and grading. This contract calls for the construction of a public work, within the meaning of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/.01 et seq. The owner has determined that this is a Prevailing Wage Job. All bids will remain firm for ninety (90) days after the bid opening. The Board of Park Commissioners of the Glen Ellyn Park District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive bid formalities, and to accept the lowest responsible bid that serves the best interests of the District. The lowest bidder will be determined on the basis of the base bid, or the base bid and any combination of alternates the Owner desires to accept, all in the exercise of its discretion. Owner may also use all publicly available information about the bidders in determining whether a bidder is a responsible bidder. Minority and women-owned businesses are encouraged to submit bids for this project. The successful contract bidder(s) are encouraged to utilize minority and women-owned businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction.
