More specifically, the work shall consist of electrical and pump upgrades at two (2) different existing booster pump station sites, mobilization/demobilization, bonds, insurance, delivery of materials, taxes, and all other appurtenances necessary for completion of the Work as shown in the Drawings and as specified. Time allotted for completion of work is 180 calendar days from the date of a written Notice to Proceed from Owner. All Work shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications. The Work will be awarded in one (1) Contract. CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS Bidders must complete the Qualifications of Bidders (Section 00470) in order to be evaluated for award of the Contract. Refer to the specific requirements outlined in the referenced Section. The Scope of Work as described herein is defined as electrical contracting in accordance with O.C.G.A 43-14-2(17) so the Contractor performing the work must provide proof of a valid license by the State of Georgia as an Electrical Contractor. Therefore, the Contractor submitting a bid must list the license number of the Contractor performing the electrical contracting on the Proposal form and provide proof of a valid license. See Instruction to Bidders for additional requirements. BONDS Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashiers check in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid. All bonds shall be by a surety company licensed in Georgia with an "A" minimum rating of performance and a financial strength of at least five (5) times the contract price as listed in the most current publication of Best's Key Rating Guide Property Liability. Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price shall be required of the successful bidder if contract is awarded. Each Bond shall be accompanied by a Power of Attorney' authorizing the attorney-in-fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the bond. In order for a Bid to be considered, it is mandatory that the Bidder's Affidavit of Compliance with O.C.G.A. 13-10-91 be completed and submitted with the Bid.
