2025 Seventh Avenue Reconstruction Project consists of reconstructing Seventh Avenue from Camp Street to Ridge Avenue. Work includes replacement of sanitary sewer, water main, and storm sewer; full street reconstruction; construction of new sidewalk; and restoration. Bidding Documents may also be examined at the office of the City of Platteville, at 75 N. Bonson Street, Platteville, Wisconsin 53818, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. CST. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Question Deadline Mar 03, 2025 No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least five percent (5%) of the amount bid, payable to the OWNER as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the Bidder as soon as the contract is signed. If after 15 days the Bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the OWNER as liquidated damages. The OWNER reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantity of any item or portion of the work, or to omit portions of the work, as may be deemed necessary by the OWNER, and the same shall in no way affect or make void the contract, except those additions to, or deductions from, the contract price will be appropriately made. The OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities, or to reject any or all bids, or any part of a bid, and to award the Contract to the Bidder, who in the judgment of the OWNER, will best serve the interest of the OWNER.
