Renovation of an educational facility in Platteville, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
In general, the work consists of: chimney liner work includes installing a new gunite liner inside the chimney stack structure, which may also require select masonry maintenance and repair work to provide a sound and stable surface for the new liner. It is anticipated that masonry work will include unit brick replacement, tuckpointing, and caulking and sealant replacement. The lightning protection system, aviation lighting system, and breeching duct connection(s) should be evaluated for any repairs or replacements necessary. Boiler casing work includes abatement of the casing, insulation, and high temp block; reinsulating with materials and thicknesses as determined through the pre-design process; fabricating and installing new casing; and repairing sidewalls as required through spot, seam, and/or plate welding. Bid Guarantee in the amount of 10% of the Bid must accompany each bid submitted.
