A goal of 20% for the participation of Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB) is included in the specifications and is strongly recommended. The successful bidder will be required to provide a list of HUB firms participating in the work as part of the post bid submittal to MATC. See HUB Participation Guidelines and Instructions to Bidders. All questions related to the Bid or Project must be received at MATCFPC@matc.edu no later than Monday, March 3, 2025 at 12:30 pm. Subject line must include Bid Reference Number and Bid Title. Questions that cannot be answered by reviewing the bid documents should be directed to MATC Facilities Planning and Construction at matcfpc@matc.edu. A copy of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Owner in an amount not less than 10% of maximum Bid shall accompany each uploaded Bid as guarantee that if Bid is accepted the Bidder will file proposed Contract and Bond within ten (10) days after being notified of acceptance of Bid. Bidder must be prepared to provide a hard copy of the Certified or Bank Cashier's Check or Bid Bond to MATC within 48 hours of notification that they are the low bidder or as requested by MATC. Company executing Bid Bond must be licensed to do business in Wisconsin. Certified check or Cashier's check shall be made payable to the order of Milwaukee Area Technical College. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price, to insure the faithful performance of the Contract and the payment of all persons performing the labor and furnishing material in connection with the Contract. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities, or accept any bid, which it may deem to be in the best interest of the Board.
