Renovation of a mixed-use development in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage.
A. Work illustrated in documents applies to the City of Milwaukee, Department of Public Works, Central Repair Garage - RTU-3 Replacement (Men's Locker Room) located at 2142 West Canal Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53233. B. The following work described herein is associated with the Rooftop Unit Replacement which includes, Mechanical, Structural, and Electrical [Not In Contract]. The following is a summary of work proposed for each discipline. Please note the following work is not limited to the items listed below. The entire scope of work shall be located within the project drawings. 1. The project consists of the removal and replacement of the original rooftop unit (RTU-3) serving the Men's Locker Room within the repair garage, as indicated on the mechanical bid documents. 2. The new RTU-3 (package DOAS with DX cooling, gas heating, and exhaust air energy recovery) will improve system operations, performance, and user comfort while increasing energy efficiencies. Central Repair Garage - Rooftop Unit -3 Replacement (Men Locker Room). Located at: 2142 West Canal Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53233. Question Deadline 03/07/2025 at 12:00 PM CT All questions should be submitted in writing prior to dpitts@milwaukee.gov. No questions may be answered after that date and time. No questions shall be answered verbally. No verbal information from any source is to be relied upon by any respondent in the development of their Bid. Written questions and responses will be documented by way of addenda, which will be forwarded to all bidders. Time for Completion: 22 Working Days. Liquidated Damages, per diem: $472.50 The SBE requirement for this project is 0% of the contract base bid. Bid Security Required: Bond, Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Cash to accompany bid: 10% of the Contractor's Base Bid. For those bids being submitted through electronically and using a manual Bond, the contractor may send a signed/executed copy of the bid bond to the Department of Public Works Contract Office by emailing DPWbids@milwaukee.gov. The original bid bond document must then be submitted by the contractor to the Department of Public Works Contract Office in-person or by mail to 841 N Broadway, Rm. 506, Milwaukee, WI 53202, within 24 hours upon being notified that they are the apparent low bidder.
