Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Hamilton, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
A brief summary of the Work involved in this Contract is for the new construction of Asphalt Speed Cushions at an estimated 100 locations across the City of Hamilton. The locations will be provided to the Contractor intermittently throughout the Contract. The City may submit locations to the Contractor between January 1 and November 30 of each term of the Contract. The Contractor will have thirty days from receiving a location to completing the speed cushion installation (weather pending). This includes milling, paving, application of pavement markings, and sign installation (if required). Some asphalt speed cushion installations are in residential parking areas, due to these locations the Contractor may need to complete additional Site visits prior to commencing Work and install appropriate traffic control signage to block off areas of Work Site at side of road only (parking area). In extreme cases, the Contractor may have to complete and submit applicable parking affidavit documentation to the City's Parking Authority to receive additional support from City's Parking Officers. Applicable documentation and contact information will be provided to the Contractor at their request to City's Project Manager.
