The City of Richmond, Public Works Department, is seeking qualified firms seeking to retain up to three (3) transportation engineering firms for on-call services contract in the amount of $1,000,000. The term of the contract will be three (3) years with options to extend an additional two (2) years. The services required may include preparation of environmental documents and permitting, field observation and site reconnaissance, investigation and evaluation of existing traffic conditions, data collection and analysis, preparation of documents required by funding entities, survey, preparation of exhibits, presentations, preparations of plans, specifications, cost estimates and design services during construction. Some projects might use federal funds for the construction phase and will require additional services in terms of record-keeping, environmental work and documentation as required by federal-aid guidelines. Areas of expertise may include traffic safety, traffic signals, lighting, and bicycle and pedestrian improvements.
