Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Morganton, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development; for site work for a multi-residential development; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Scope of work will consist of renovations and modernization of existing project and includes, but is not limited to, the following items: o Remove existing flooring down to concrete slab and prepare for and provide new flooring as shown on plans. o Provide new layer of 5/8" Gyp. Bd. over 7/8" metal hat channels at existing CMU walls as shown on plans. o Provide new wood stud walls at locations shown on plans. o Remove existing doors, walls, toilet fixtures, sinks, and water fountain. Provide new walls, doors, toilet fixtures, grab bars, sinks and water fountains as shown on plans. o Remove existing brick and ribbed concrete block wall as shown on plans, and provide new aluminum storefront windows and new blinds. o Remove and replace existing windows with new aluminum storefront windows and provide new blinds. o Provide new casework as shown on plans. o Remove and salvage water heater for relocation. o Remove existing baseboard heaters and associated electrical wiring back to panel. o Remove and replace air handler unit, heat pump unit, and all other work as shown on Mechanical plans. o Pressure wash existing concrete walk/pads, railings, and exterior wall to prep for painting. o Remove existing soffit panels and siding attached to roof. Provide new soffit panels and siding panels - painted. o Provide new lighting and any other electrical work as shown on Electrical plans. o All other work as shown on the plans, in the Project Manual and as required by codes and the authority having jurisdiction. Contractors will be responsible to ensure that economic opportunities, to the greatest extent feasible follow Section 3 Requirements 24 CFR Part 135.1 and Section 3 Clause 24 CFR Part 135.38. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a cash deposit or a certified check drawn on some bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, of an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal or in lieu thereof a bidder may offer a bid bond of five percent (5%) of the bid executed by a surety company licensed under the laws of North Carolina and per Section 9 of Form 5369 and individual sureties must be listed on US Treasury Circular Number 570 to execute the contract in accordance with the bid bond and per HUD-5369 Sections 9 and 10. Five Percent shall be based on the maximum bid price, ie: Base Bid plus Unit Prices plus Contingency Allowance plus All Add Alternates. Said deposit shall be retained by the Owner as liquidated damages in event of failure of the successful bidder to execute the contract within ten (10) days after the award or to give satisfactory surety as required by law. (Bid Bond not required if bid is less than $250,000.00.) No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of Sixty (60) days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
