Catawba River Water Treatment Plant Sedimentation Basin Improvements The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all Bids. Unless all Bids are rejected, Award will be made to the lowest responsible Bidder, taking into consideration quality, performance and the time specified in the proposals for the performance of the Contract. This Project is generally described as follows o Demolition of existing piping and structures to allow new construction. o Installation of six (6) vertical turbine flocculators with support bridge and baffle systems. o Installation of three (3) inclined plate settler systems with support frames, effluent throughs and weirs. o Installation of three (3) hoseless sludge removal systems with electric drives. o All associated site work, piping, electrical and instrumentation work. o Additional electrical work involving transformer changeouts and feeds. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security of 5% of the bid amount. Security may be in the form of cash, certified check or cashier's check made payable to the City of Morganton or a bid bond issued by an insurance company authorized to do business in North Carolina. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept the bid that appears to be in the best interest of the City or provided by law.
