a) Replacement of existing HVAC equipment and controls. The HVAC equipment and Control Hardware will be furnished by the owner and installed by the contractor (OFCI). (b) Related ductwork and piping. (c) Expand equipment concrete pad and fencing to fit new HVAC equipment. (d) Add gate to existing equipment fence to provide service clearance. (e) Contractor will coordinate final controls set-up and operation with Russel Sigler Commercial. Any and all applicable licensing, certification(s), and/or training requirements must be met and remain current and valid throughout the term of the contracted work. The estimated value of this project is in excess of $1.2 million; therefore, requires the prime/general contractor to be prequalified with audited or reviewed financials to be eligible to bid this project. Interested bidders shall refer to the District's prequalification requirements on Quality Bidders for all requirements. All bids shall be on the form provided by the District and shall be accompanied by a satisfactory bid security in the form of either a bid bond executed by the bidder and Surety Company, cash, or a cashier's check or a certified check, drawn to the order of the Orange Unified School District, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price. Said bid security shall be given to guarantee that the Bidder will execute the contract as specified, within seven (7) calendar days after the date of the Notice of Award. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the Contract for the Work. The successful bidder will be required to certify that it either meets the Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise ("DVBE") goal of three percent (3%) participation or made a good faith effort to solicit DVBE participation in this Contract if it is awarded the Contract for the Work. The Contractor and all Subcontractors under the Contractor shall pay all workers on all Work performed pursuant to this Contract not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, State of California, for the type of work performed and the locality in which the work is to be performed within the boundaries of the District, pursuant to section 1770 et seq. of the California Labor Code. The deadline for submission of prequalification documents by all prime contractors, and MEP subcontractors for this Project must be submitted online to Quality Bidders no later than 4:00 p.m. on April 3, 2025.
