The project consists of exterior building improvements (block masonry restoration and painting, brick restoration cleaning and sealing, lintel replacements, lintel cleaning and painting, wall mounted light replacements) at the Town Engineering building at 6221 Goodrich Road, Clarence Center, NY 14032 Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents or the Contract Documents shall be submitted to ENGINEER in writing. In order to receive consideration, questions must be received by ENGINEER at least ten (10) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of Bids. Any interpretations of questions so raised, which in the opinion of ENGINEER require interpretations, will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to holders of record documents for receipt not later than three (3) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of Bids. The ENGINEER and OWNER will not be responsible for oral interpretations or clarifications which anyone presumes to make on their behalf. Plans and Specifications may be examined at the office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Clarence between the hours of 8:30 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. daily from February 19, 2025 to March 13, 2025; except Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays. Proposals shall be made and received upon the following conditions: Each proposal must be accompanied by the deposit of a certified check, payable to the order of the Town of Clarence, for a sum equal to five percentum (5%) of the total amount of the bid, or a bid bond with sufficient sureties in a penal sum equal to five percentum (5%) of such total bid amount, conditioned that if the proposal is accepted, the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work, and that Bidder will execute within fifteen (15) days from the date of the acceptance of the proposal, a suitable security bond in the amount of the contract, conditioned for the faithful and prompt performance and completion of the work specified in the contract. No bidder may withdraw it's bid with sixty (60) calendar days after the actual date of opening thereof. Each bidders attention is called to the General Municipal Law, which requires a bidders Certificate of NonCollusion, copies of such certificates are part of the proposal form and unless complied with, the bid will not be accepted. All Bid Deposits, except that of the successful bidder, will be returned. Upon acceptance of the bid, if the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract pursuant to the requirements of the Board, or fails to give the further security prescribed in this notice, with the time limited therein, then the check deposited as aforesaid and the moneys standing to the credit of same, shall be forfeited to the Town as liquidated damages, or the payment of the bond enforced for the benefit of the Town. The Town of Clarence reserves the right to waive informalities in or to reject any and all bids.
