The Project consists of alley reconstruction and parking lot construction. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least five percent (5%) of the amount bid, payable to the OWNER as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the Bidder as soon as the contract is signed. If after 15 days the Bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the OWNER as liquidated damages. Bids may not be withdrawn within 90 days after the date of the bid opening. Owner Reserves the Right to Waive Any Informalities, or to Reject Any or All Bids, or Any Part of a Bid, and to Award the Contract to the Bidder, Who in the Judgment of the Owner, Will Best Serve the Interest of the Owner. The Village of Muscoda encourages Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBE's), Women's Business Enterprises (WBE's), Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE's), and Small Businesses in Rural Areas (SBRA's) to submit bids. Document notes: Digital version of the Bidding Documents also may be obtained online using upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit of $50.00. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
