Site work for a civil project in Hobart, Indiana. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.
The Little Calumet River Basin Development Commission (LCRBDC) is currently requesting proposals from engineering firms to prepare a preliminary engineering report for modifications to the Lake George Dam (State ID 45-2). Lake George Dam is an earthen embankment located approximately 600 feet west of the intersection of Center Street and Front Street in Hobart, Indiana. The dam is regulated by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) and is classified by IDNR as a high hazard structure. It is roughly 550 feet long and 15 feet tall, impounding Deep River to create a lake that extends approximately 8,500 feet upstream at normal pool .
