The Kenai Peninsula Borough hereby invites qualified firms to submit a firm price for the application of Calcium Chloride in the East Region of the Kenai Peninsula. The project consists of applying anhydrous calcium chloride, 94-97% mini pellets, by either wet or dry application on Kenai Peninsula Borough Roads. Estimated quantities to apply to the KPB regions are as follows: East Region: Seward: 48,510 lbs. According to the State of Alaska Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), small and minority businesses, women's business enterprises, veteran owned businesses, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to bid Certified check, bank cashier's check, or bid bond, made payable to the Kenai Peninsula Borough amount equal to five (5%) percent of the total bid, shall accompany each bid as evidence of good faith, a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the Bidder will execute the contract and give bond as required. The successful Bidder shall furnish the Owner a Performance and Payment bond in the full amount of the Agreement and shall maintain the Bond in force during the continuance of the Agreement. Requests from Bidders for interpretation or clarification of the Bid Documents shall be made in writing to the Purchasing and Contracting Director and shall arrive no later than 5:00 PM on March 3, 2025. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive minor irregularities in any bids or in the bidding procedure, and to accept any bid presented which meets or exceeds said specifications and which is deemed to be in the best interest of the Borough. Substantial Completion June 30, 2025 It is an intent of the Borough to award the contract for the services for up to three (3) one (1) year contracts dependent on availability of funds and appropriation by the Borough Assembly.
