Derry Township and Burnham Borough will receive bids for the DERRY/BURNHAM ARLE TRAFFIC SIGNALUPGRADES project at the following intersections:Electric Avenue (SR 1005) and Ort Valley Road (SR 3023)Electric Avenue (SR 1005) and Third StreetElectric Avenue (SR 1005) and Sixth StreetLogan Boulevard (SR 1005) and Cedar StreetLogan Boulevard (SR 1005) and Freedom Avenue (SR 4013) A certified check or bank draft payable to the order of Derry Township, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed bythe Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid shall besubmitted with each bid. All bids must be submitted on a lump sum basis.Derry Township and Burnham Borough reserve the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informality inthe bidding.Bidders must be pre-qualified by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and submit proof thereof withtheir bid.Bidder shall comply with all state and federal laws prohibiting discrimination in hiring or employmentopportunities.Pennsylvania prevailing minimum wage rates will apply. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be directed to Engineer. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than three days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
